What a week...
Sunday - Dinner with some of the family. We all went out to celebrate Ashley's birthday. We went to Fuji and I shared a KOBE steak with Jennifer. Which, I don't know how, but I didn't know this was suppose to be an incredible steak. I mean, it was AWESOME, but I didn't know how great it was suppose to be! Afterward, Jennifer and I went to her family's Sunday dinner. I really enjoy her family a lot and am just trying to find my way to fit in. They are all pretty cool people!
Tuesday - I was past as a Fellowcraft in Masonry. Amazing experience in itself!
Friday - Was able to watch a few good basketball games at my gym. Because of a lot of administrative changes, I wasn't able to watch as much basketball this year and was glad to have a few games caught at the end of the season!
Saturday - Well, for about 6 months, a few members of our Sand Springs Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club Council had a vision to raise money for the kids that we give scholarships to at our facility for various programming. This night couldn't have ran smoother than it did, raising a lot of cash for these kids. I will be counting on Monday, but felt compelled to write about how successful the day went over a nice nightcap before bed tonight!
Over and over again, I was pulled aside by all of the bosses I have in the Tulsa Area and complimented. I was also cornered by a few local leaders, community cash holders and one person who I look up to a lot and told how impressed they were with myself and the way the fundraiser turned out tonight. Knowing that we have raised the amount of money we have for kids in our community that need a place to go, programs in which to be involved and people to look up to...my night has been complete!
There has been many times that I have felt I am making a positive change in this position. Tonight, I would think has been one of the biggest moments that has been made evident! I am so pumped that this has been where God has put me at this time and with these people to make a change!
