Like American Honey...

Well, Monday I had an awesome day, which has translated to a great week so far. I will just start with that...

I'm listening and just sort of comprehending the lyrics to American Honey, explanation for the title.

For small and un-detailed reasons, I'm just going to state that my family is awesome. A few of my family members prove over and over that they love me by their actions. Moving home has taught me this more than ever before - I've never had this much respect for them before in my life, so awesome!

I also met with Diane Montgomery, Oklahoma State's Educational Psychology Department Head. Very encouraging and enlightening to speak with her and learn more about the program, which actually seems to be more than perfect for what I want out of my Ph.D. I honestly can't believe that I am going to be preparing over the next year to make that big leap into that direction. As if I'm not broke already, this will of course make life even more difficult, but WOW, talk about lack of funds during these few years.

It's weird to think of college, text books, paying people a lot of money or studying without thinking of UCO. I've spent the last few days thinking about my experience at OSU and staying in Tulsa...many people know that I've wanted to leave Oklahoma for a while and have even visited other places. I am still trying to figure out if that is for ME or not. Although, I think it is a great program, I'm dating Jennifer now, have a house and a few other commitments...I'm thinking life is important to stay here, I guess it's hard because I can truthfully say that I've lived without regrets and I don't want this to be one of them. We are REALLY in the beginning stages, so this isn't something I'm stressing about (that's the GRE), but it's of course crossing my mind! HA!

The next few days - Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum, UCO Spring Sing, the lake with Jen and her family then Drillers Game with Jen, Casey and Alicia. Busy few days, but I'm excited!
