Hey everyone!
Yes, the time has come. I am home from surgery tonight and feeling okay. I started pre-surgery stuff around 9 am and went under the knife around 11. Right now I'm feeling okay, but tomorrow is suppose to be the worst day according to my doctor, so I hope it won't be that bad. I will be just upping the pain meds if I need to and especially after I see Dr. Miller.
I will be unable to do much for about 6-8 weeks other than walk, but I bought a pedometer last night to make sure I am getting enough walking in during the day.
RIght now I'm watching movies with my sisters, who have been the best nurses and are taking care of me today! My grandma's, Jennifer, mom and sisters were there with me today and made me feel so comfortable about having this operation. Jennifer has been amazing for understanding this whole thing, too! It's funny that she is going through this with me and we have only dated for a month! CRAZY and just shows how awesome she is to me!
I can't believe that in a few weeks, I will be so closer to a normal chest. Talk about changing my life...it's gonna be awesome (hopefully with the right result!)
